How can I convey what this guitar sounds like with words? Or how this instrument feels in my hands? I guess I could play the "how many legends have accompanied this guitar on stage and studio" card or write a kooky story about Hop Along Ray Mauldin playing this in his Country and Western band. Instead, I think I'll just tell you how this guitar makes me feel when I play the sweetest set of chords I know. Or, how the tones just resonate as if I was 15 again and had just discovered the joy of holding that G Maj 7th chord exactly right to make those notes come to life. Better yet, how this guitar vibrates against my body and about the ease of my finger tips as I apply just the right amount of pressure to to make those tumblers unlock to reveal the hidden treasures in that musical safe. Have we forgotten the joy of our greatest passion as guitarist? Do YOU recall when your musical eyes were opened for the first time and the simple pleasures that you got from buying that first guitar. There was a time in your life when that guitar was all you had. It represented your heart, soul and your very identity. You stayed at home to be with her and you even passed on dates just to hold her. This mystical being of wood and metal was and still is the constant in your life. It was the golden foil ticket at Willy Wonka's Chocolate factory. As I play this guitar, she still takes me back to my youth and I tell Ray all the time, "Sometimes a great guitar can make you a better player." The guitar itself demands this commitment from you and in turn you do give your mistress what she wants: Your undivided attention......
