Driven, focused, funny, loving, generous, carefree......dear friends. These are but a few words that describe the very first couple to be inducted into the 'Elk Nation and Lee and I just could not be more pleased to have them in our family. But of course, they're already in our family and are our Brother and Sister. Their's is quite literally the classic tale of a young couple, coming up from meager beginnings and through determination, dedication and a work ethic that's unheard of in these times have done well for themselves and are enjoying life in a most wonderful way. They are also quite the "power couple" and work together with a single goal in mind- "excellence in execution". Darin is the CEO and founder of Southeastern Systems Services, the Southeast's premier company to design, install and service building fire alarm and fire suppression systems, access control, intrusion detection, video systems and all types of cabling systems. I guess you could say they're "Elkish" in their attention to detail and while Darin may be the founder and face of SSS, Michell is the engine that drives the company and does everything from running the corporate offices to submitting bids for potential contracts. They make a superb team and it shows both in their work and in their everyday lives. Now, all that said, there's one major, overwhelming, life- altering reason why we love these two so much......they're both shorter than me.
