Featured Guitar Item: 2008 Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul Std, R9 Korina Quilt Price: $4,995.00 Reportedly, Gibson made just 50 of these limited 1959 Korina Les Paul's. The last one we had went out of here like this place was on fire and I probably don't have to mention this, but these guitars sound a bit different than a traditional R9. It's apparent to me that when plugged in, this guitar has more depth and dimension than it's traditional predecessor. The twin Burstbuckers just howl and exude tone. The neck is a standard '59 profile and the frets are as smooth as the other side of the pillow. Smooth tone, light weight and chock full of Korina goodness- what more could you ask for in a Paul? I guess this and Jessica Simpson, but come to think of it, that might be too much for one man to handle.... |
